I have not ventured into the FA market yet as I just finished my first year but when I tried to extend Jason Heyward he originally wanted 22 million for 8 years. I could not afford that deal. I month or so later in the season his demand had dropped and I got him for almost 5 million less.
Meanwhile Kolton Wong would not accept a long term deal no matter what I tried.
