DH or not in the majors, can go either way.
DH in the minors for developing hitters, though I really wish we could put in place the real-life rule on this (at the AA and AAA levels, pitchers do hit if both are NL farm clubs).
For fictional leagues, I'd love it if we had more options: different rules by division, or even "each team decides their ground rules," though the AI maybe couldn't handle that well. When I was a kid playing card games (anyone remember Pursue the Pennant?), I had a IMO cool idea: the home team would choose the DH rule or not for each game. That would be a fascinating bit of strategy to argue over.
