In real life, if a kid was even just 20 and still in high school, I can guarantee that he is not playing sports, nor even eligible to play sports. High school ranges from 14-18 years old. So, for kids enter the MLB draft, the range will be 17-18. Every once in a while you'll see a kid who just turned 19 right before the draft. That just comes down to when they were born and when they started kindergarten.
So, yes if this game is showing 20-22 year old high schoolers then that is a huge error, and bug.
