Wow! I just checked on that guy on mine and he's stuck in the indepedent leagues lol.
I've got a bunch of ideas bouncing around my head for how to free up some payroll, but I also just lost Verlander for 12 months so that complicates things a bit. Never easy when you have $28 million in dead money AND a potential rotation spot to fill. My offseason will be interesting.
I'm going to be going hard on the player dev. and scouting as well though. Not a whole lot we can do for the first couple of years as far as the payroll goes, but a few good drafts and some IFA's can set us up well for the future.
