If a thread gets locked because of something you post, and the OP creates a new thread, you MIGHT want to consider not posting the same crap in their thread as well.

To answer the OPs question: I don't doubt that this happens, I doubt this happens any less in games you don't watch and just let sim, you just don't watch them. The AI is dumb, and it's dumb regardless of whether you're watching the game or not.
It's why I tend to manage both teams whenever I play a game and I'm not doing a GM and/or manager career attempt. (Of course, watch me manage a game and wonder why I leave pitchers in too long... in general, I don't like pulling non-tired pitchers in any situation unless I need to pinch-hit or I know that I want to save an RP for availability for the next game. But that's my own person "personality quirk".
