I know you aren't; that's my point. I don't see the logic of asking for three or four specific base coaches to be unretired ... why not all 60? And if base coaches, why not other coaches or instructors, who also could be hired as managers/bench coaches/etc (and in some cases have been in the past). There are a dozen guys like that in every MLB org, all of whom are varying flavors of interesting/popular/respected and who have various kinds of jobs and who are not actually "retired" as the game has them -- from Omar Vizquel to George Brett to Dave Duncan to Mickey Morandini and on and on.
IMO, if you're going to unretire some of them, you need to have some kind of logic and rationale of why you don't want to do all of the hundreds of others in MLB (plus, as noted, international leagues). I'm not saying such a rationale can't exist or is impossible; I'm saying the line has to be drawn somewhere, and asking you where you think it should be.
