A player from the losing team has won the WS MVP before, so you can't call it unrealistic. Unlikely, freakish, odd...but if it has happened before in real life, it's by definition realistic.

According to OOTP itself, OOTP MLB play (modern and historical) outnumbers OOTP fictional play three to one.
