IPA THIRD ALL-DECADE TEAM 2021-2030

3B Flash Devlin (2013-2031)
The best third basemen in the 2020s was Flash Devlin, who's back again for another decade... Devlin was also chosen to the Second All-Decade Team, one of the six players that have been repeaters during the first 30 years... the others are Nicky Engstrom, Alan Hansen, Don Nichols, Jack Elliott and Roy Hobbs.

Devlin is a member of the Islandian Pro Alliance Hall of Fame, elected in 2038... playing for the mediocre La Claire Lynx, he rarely got to play in the postseason... only once in his 19-year career did his club make the playoffs... but he made the press certainly stand up and pay attention in the regular season by making the All-Star Team 13 times... Devlin was a prolific hitter with a lifetime .317 BA, batting .356 in '17, .353 in '21, .343 in '18, .343 in '23 and .331 in '16 and '22... for his first 12 seasons he hit .300 or more ('13 to '24)... Devlin participated in 2737 games, collected 3261 hits (19th all-time), 559 home runs (17th), 1799 RBIs (14th) and scored 1995 runs (13th)... not only was he good with the bat, Flash Devlin was an outstanding third sacker known for his "flashy" plays.
