Sir Spritze, started a historical game in 2014 with your database. The good news is that I'm not seeing any duplicate players anymore like I did before (Three Norichika Aokis, two from Japan, one from MLB - triple vision oye! - but no more - yay!) the latest fix.
The bad news is some 83 out of the 4158 players have imported with zero ability to catch the ball, or hit the ball, and they have all imported as RF or LF whether or not they actually play there or not. A lot of them are Korean or Japanese players, but unfortunately Yordano Ventura is one of them. Yep, that Yordano Ventura - the Royals hotheaded ace SP. He imported as a LF with zero ability to catch the ball or hit the ball. Let's just blame this all on Sean Lahman taking up yoga or tai-chi, or whatever it is that's distracted him lately (kidding Mr. Lahman, just kidding!) from his life's work.
I don't know which file the problem is in. Maybe Ventura didn't get pitch ratings in the master file. It doesn't look like he got stats in the pitching.csv file or the pitching2.csv file. If you notice, so far the MLB players are importing as LF, while the foreign players are importing as RF. Interesting, we'll see if this continues.
