OAKLAND, CA - In a shocking turn of events Billy Beane, the GM of the Oakland Athletics has been sacked. The A's, who finished with a 88-74 record last year losing to the Royals in the wildcard, have thought to have been disappointed with some of the moves Beane made down the stretch of the 2014 season, mainly the Cespedes deal. With 59 wins at the all star break they were leading all of baseball, however failing to win the division was the final straw, ending Beane's 16 year tenure as GM.
It is thought that young Peter Radke from Austria will takeover, as he embodies several of the same mentalities as Beane.
