I'd love to hear Matt comment, because I find this feature fascinating, but I think it's a little more complicated than that.
Greed can be a bad thing, but I don't think it's the worst; it mostly impacts come contract time AFICT. Desire to win can be good or bad thing -- on a team with last-place talent, your "desire to win" guys are the ones who will become the biggest problems.
A tempermental/controlling coach can be good for a team of youngsters just glad to be there ... but I suspect it would wear thin on a team full of veterans who don't like being yelled at (cf. Billy Martin and Larry Bowa).
I had one team that had a problem with lack of leadership: there were no problem players, but it was a rebuilding squad with only a handful of players over 25, none of them with leadership skills, and one of those "personality of a ham sandwich" managers. I guess the whole place was just kind of flat.
Honestly, I'd love to get a bench coach report every month, with much more detail.
