Not only did BG Smith play for the 1962 Mets, the previous season he'd been with the Phillies and their 23-game losing streak. After a month as a Met, he was swapped to the Cubs (the 9th-place, 103-loss, "College of Coaches" Cubs) before being reprieved with a trade to Cardinals at the end of July. The man played a lot of bad baseball for a lot of bad teams.

Still, that's no reason to picture him with a purple sky, so I fiddled a bit. I think it's an improvement…of sorts.
