This is part four of a six-part series... I have already posted the first three All-Decade Teams... this is the Fourth All-Decade Team covering the years 2031 to 2040... the Fifth Decade Team will cover the years from 2041 to 2050.

The Sixth Team will be the 50th Anniversary Team with the all-time best players in the Islandian Pro Alliance, chosen by position.

IPA FOURTH ALL-DECADE TEAM 2031-2040

SP: J. J. Gillespie (2029-2045)
Heading up the mound corps for the IPA Fourth All-Decade Team is Cold Creek's sensational right-hander J. J. Gillespie... he toiled for the Catamounts for 17 seasons, running up an impressive 294-170 mark with a great 2.46 lifetime ERA... Gillespie paced them to four pennants during his tenure... he was a 20-game winner 10 times... won three Ruthlandian MVP trophies in '33, '37 and '40... five Golden Arms... and made the All-Star club on six occasions... Gillespie was 11-9 in 23 postseason assignments with a standout 2.46 ERA... Gillespie was inducted into the Islandian Pro Alliance Hall of Fame in 2046 after retiring at age 39.
