Dave Orr 1883
Here's one of the unsung stars of the 19th Century, a first baseman who managed to play for four different New York teams until his career was shortened by some kind of unexplained paralysis in 1890.
In seven full seasons his OPS was .890 or better and his career OPS+ was 162 (202 in the 1885 season).
Orr is depicted on his 1886-87 Kalamazoo Bats cigarettes card, only one copy of which is known (and it is in the British Museum of all places). If you happen to have a second copy.... ;-)
