I'm sure you will get plenty of comments about this, but really, to agree with r0nster, it's just sample size. Play a whole season or 50 and see how it goes.
This game does not precisely mimic real life. But over time, our history with OOTP tells us you'll end up with results that are close to real life (although not identical). And if you don't like the results, once you have a much larger data set, perhaps you will have some evidence we can present to Markus that something may need tweaking.
