I don't trade draft picks, but I do like to know where my draft picks come from (FA compensation, failing to sign last year's pick, etc.), so I actually keep track of it all in a spreadsheet each year. It's kind of daunting, but I don't know of any other way.

I think for OOTP 15 I actually requested that Markus add the functionality to indicate in the draft order screen which picks came from where (and whether or not they were protected). That would work for you in this instance, because say you mouse over one of your first round picks, it could say "Acquired in trade with BAL on 7/30/65" or something like that.

Maybe we can see it in OOTP17.
