Hei,
I made some mixed universe consisting of the Real MLB 2014 (with salary cap) and a fictional Canadian league consisting of the (roughly) 24 biggest cities. The Canadian league has also a salary cap, that is slightly lower and free agents can move between the leagues.
There's also a couple of Asian leagues.
I fixed the weather for all Canadian teams (18°F weather in April does happen) and added some system of market size (Toronto the biggest, St. Johns and so the smallest). Still smaller cities should have a fair chance of winning because of the salary cap.
The stadiums are random and of course not realistic. But if Toronto has a 50,000 stadium and St. Johns only 15,000 the game would be no fun.
For the St. Johns franchise the minor league teams are also edited (all in Labrador and Newfoundland).
Divisions on big league level should be more or less geographical. Of course not every smaller city in Ontario fits 100 %.
I have done the template after public request on Twitter and hope it works. Never did something like that before, so I hope it works.
Of course you can edit as much you want - removing salary cap, fix the stadiums, ...
I recommend having the "release all players and draft again" thing at the beginning.
