Catcher Ability
Catcher Ability is a measure of a catcher's overall catching skill. Catcher Ability isn't truly a distinct rating. It is more of a composite number based on a combination of the player's defensive skills (arm, error, range) and his experience at the position.

With that said there is a long-standing belief within the community that there is. Many times these beliefs are based upon some thread or discussion about the topic. Although, I don't remember a specific thread about this issue I'm pretty sure that framing pitches is modeled to an extent.

Anyone with anything more definitive?
