A Strange Topps Vault Photo....
This should really go in the minor-league thread, forgive me.
Topps posted this on eBay today -- it's billed as a 1975 Vault photo of Twins minor-leaguer Juan Veintidos, and indeed appears to be the photo used on Veintidos' portion of his '75 rookie card.
But what in the name of Ron Herbel's missing Mets cap is going on here? It looks an awful lot like a newspaper or media-guide photo with the portion needed for the card hastily colorized. Did Topps miss Veintidos and make do with whatever they could get?
Never seen a Vault photo like this one and am curious.
