I'll pick two guys and do a quick bump on them as well. Pillar and Goins were the ones I was looking at, so I think I'll try to find two players that I can bump up in the same departments on another team.

Yes, you have to improve the Yankees
in all seriousness, what I would recommend is go into the editor, type in this year's stats, and hit "base current ratings on these stats" or whatever the button is. Also, if you're going to bump up anything on the Yankees, I'd bump up Greg Bird and Luis Severino, primarily their potential but a little bit of current too. Also, you need to downgrade Stephen Drew - how he has hit 20 HRs and hit .250 in all 3 of the leagues I have done is beyond me.
