If a player has a vesting option that requires x amount of PA for example. Is that limited to the regular season, or do playoff PA count towards it too?

Lets say Player C needs 550 PA, at 545 PA at the end of regular season i would sit him out so he cant reach the threshhold. If i use him now in the playoffs, will those PA there then put above the threshhold and trigger the vesting option?
