With all due respect to my South Side brethren, the White Sox have had some truly awful uniforms in the last fifty years. The John Allyn-era home unis were OK, but the road uniforms suffered from the 1970s vogue for pale blue (which also affected the Cubs and Phillies). Then Bill Veeck, who in all other respects was a baseball god, totally whiffed with his softball-style uniforms. The Einhorn-Reinsdorf "cereal box" uniforms that followed were, if anything, even worse. The script "Chicago" and "White Sox" uniforms, derivative as they were, nevertheless were an improvement over the monstrosities that they replaced.
