Both 18-0 so one 0 had to go!
Guillermo Jones came to Germany to face the fearsome puncher, Marco Huck, in what was Jones' 3rd defense of his WBA CW belt.
The fight was expected to be an explosive affair between 2 huge punchers but both played it safe - maybe due to the mutual respect each had for the power of their opponent.
It wasn't until the 9th when a left hook from Huck sent Jones to the canvas. Jones recovered & returned the favor in the 14th when a huge overhand left dropped Huck. He rose on unsteady feet but Jones would not be denied & kept punching until the ref stepped in @ 2:55 of the round.
In a tight fight, Jones led 124-121 on 2 cards while Huck was ahead 123-122 on the 3rd.
Jones is now 19-0 (15 KO's) @ CW while Huck's 18-1 (18 KO's).
Jones also had the PL edge: 348 (38%) to 290 (30%).
