Tommie Agee 1962
One of the great up-and-down careers in baseball history: a 6.4 WAR, Rookie of the Year, 8th in MVP in 1966, two years later down to a .562 OPS with 15 RBI. The year after that he was the lynchpin of the Miracle Mets' offense and immortalized with two of the greatest catches in World Series history in the same game and three seasons after that, he would be traded three times and released once in a span of 16 months.
Of course Tommie Agee preceded this roller coaster ride with a remarkable four consecutive seasons (1962-65) in which he broke into the majors yet failed to play more than 15 games. The first three of these were with the team depicted in the Topps upload today, Cleveland (which adroitly dealt him away for the last two full seasons of Rocky Colavito - throwing in Tommy John in the process).
