Not an option
I tried that, Bluenoser, but "remove from waivers" is not in the list of available actions. I can choose designate, waive, waive and designate, demote, release -- but not remove from waivers.
We are in the summer of a new 1871 league, so the player does not seem hampered by any complex (to me) contractual rules, out of options, etc. He has 132 days of work experience. He is on the active roster.
