Frank Sullivan (1930-2016)
Two-time American league all-star pitcher, Frank Sullivan passed away in Hawaii on January 19, four days before his 86th birthday
Sullivan was a 1955 and 1956 A.L. all-star for the Boston Red sox and led the league in 1955 in wins with 18.
His career record was 97-100 in eleven MLB seasons (1953-1963) but he was a better pitcher than that record indicates.
He had the misfortune of being in he wrong place at the wrong time when he went 3-16 for the 1961 Phillies. That team set the modern record for futility by going on a 22 game losing streak that summer.
Photos of him with the Red Sox, Phillies and his other teams would be appreciated.
