I'm definitely going to construct a 12 team, 2 league structure, even though there really aren't 12 fictional teams "with" players available. I can put a few key players on these teams, like Jack Elliott from Mr. Baseball to give the team some character.
I've picked the teams for what I am calling the Atlantic League below, including details I've set so far. If I've missed something or you have comments, I'd be happy to hear them.
Next I'll tackle the Pacific League. These 6 teams will be more sparse with book and movie characters - and I may use the California Pioneers (from the Hardball TV Series) to stock it with the Pioneers players from the Universal Baseball Association, by Robert Coover.
