A 1963 photo from the Lexibell folders brings together three generations of Pittsburgh Pirates third basemen.
From left to right are Hall of Famer Pie Traynor, who held down third from 1922-35 and earned induction in 1948; first year starter Bob Bailey, who held the job from 1963-67; and Bobby Byrne, age 79, who was the Pittsburgh third baseman from 1909-1913. Traynor was a spring training instructor at the time.
