pitcher, Aaron Nola - Will the Phillies look good in red?
The Phillies announced that they will introduce a new, alternate all-red jersey this season. (seen here modeled by pitcher Aaron Nola).
It is scheduled to be worn only six times this season. With the exception of it's debut date of April 14, it will be worn on five "Getaway Dates", on the last games of homestands.
There's a joke in there somewhere, that someone who is a more accomplished joke and story teller than myself could tap into. It has something to do with disgruntled, traditionalist, Phillies fans running the team out of town five times this season because they disapprove of their team's new, more flamboyant look. (Because they wear the new jerseys on getaway days - get it?)
Oh, where's Conan O'Brien when you need him?
