Here's The Phillies Joke
...there are actually people who believe the alternate uniforms, throwback uniforms, camo uniforms, throwback uniforms, military appreciation day uniforms, Memorial Day caps, July 4th caps, Labor Day caps, Spring Training caps, Spring Training tops, Batting Practice tops, Batting Practice caps, All Star caps, and all the others worn by the Phillies and every other team, have any purpose other than to separate you from your wallet.
Please note a point that's come up several times recently here: at least as late as 1976 a big market team planning a complete overhaul of its cap and uniform design (White Sox) still wore the previous year's tattered regular season uniforms again in Spring Training.
