The Spicer picture, showing him with the Los Angeles Angels of the PCL, accompanied his obituary. It's about as good a picture of him as I've seen, aside from his Mother's Cookies card (which also pictured him with the Angels).

Spicer reached the majors for just four game appearances, two in '55 and two in '56 (KC Athletics) . Yet he pitched in organized baseball for 15 seasons (1947 to 1961). You have to respect that kind of dedication to the game.
