In my 1995-1996 game, I noticed unaffiliated minor league teams were signing MLB-quality players to major league contracts.
For example, the Single A Bakersfield Blaze of the California League signed catcher Darrin Fletcher to an $8.8 million contract during the 1996 off-season after he hit .275/18/85 in 1995 in my sim for the Expos.
I tried setting it so MLB players can't sign in other leagues, but that didn't work.
