Minnie Mendoza 1970
There is one detail from a George Brace photo of this baseball lifer, but I don't think there's a full color photo of him floating around - except for this one, now.
Minnie Mendoza had signed with the Reds in 1954, and even though he'd spent eight seasons with Charlotte of the Southern League, he had played for 11 minor league teams and reached the age of 36 before he shocked baseball by making the Twins out of Spring Training, 1970.
He got only 16 at bats in as many games, and just three hits, and returned to the minors for four more seasons (including yet another two in Charlotte). He returned as the Orioles' first base coach in 1988. This image, from 'the' collection, is from his memorable work in the spring of 1970:
