Should this be happening? I manage AAA Portland in the PCL. The St. Louis Browns purchased the contract of my best reliever, and then put him in their BC-level franchise. Is this realistic? Were there rules requiring major league teams to keep players they purchased on their big league team? Just curious. It doesn't feel right.
