I am another who enjoy creating a world far more than actually playing it, I spent weeks/months creating a Football Manager universe and played for about a month (in-game) in a day and quit, but still enjoyed the creation.
Most OOTP versions I create one small world but drift back to MLB, this version I think I am going to try something new. I know exactly what I want, but there are a few settings I'm not sure I understand fully. What I want is to take the existing real world (MLB/MiLB/Japan/Korea/Cuba/Mexico) and add a fictional European equivalent running in parallel. So, a top level major league in one European country, the equivalent of MLB in America, with minors - then a few slightly smaller leagues in other European countries with different set-ups. Effectively I want the world in two halves, with European countries all feeding to one European major, and Rest of the World feeding to MLB. The two major level leagues should then compete for the free agents from each other once players are eligible.
Two main things have me confused/stumped. One is the financials, especially posting/trading. If I have this set-up, I would like my European lesser leagues to have the posting system enabled, but only post to my European major league. Likewise, Japan should only post to the MLB. As far as I can tell, if I do this set-up, they will always post to both rather than have the world in two halves as it were. Is what I want possible or will the two majors be competing for everyone except drafted players?
The other is the player creation modifiers. MLB has everyone at 1.000 for all categories. Japan averages slightly under 1.000 but with different balance, Korea is 0.850 for all. This makes sense. Cuba then has 1.000 for all as well, which makes less sense. My question is are the PCMs based on the league level - Cuba is an 8, in which case is 1.000 PCM on an 8 level league better/worse than a 0.850 on a 9 level league?
Apologies if this is the wrong thread to ask, I have all day today to work on this world so it would be good to get these resolved. Thanks in advance
