You need to have a routine for backing up so a corrupted save is a nuisance rather than a national disaster. I back up twice per game week, but I play out my games, so you might want to do it a little less. When I finish the scheduled games for Wednesdays and Sundays, I run a backup. It's fast, easy, and avoids disasters.
