Giants pitcher Jim Gott hit three home runs during the 1985 season, and it apparently went to his head. Not only did Gott strike a batting pose for the Vault photo released today, he likewise gabbed a bat for a shot used in the team-issued 1986 Giants postcards.
He added another homer in 1987. One can imagine his excitement when he was traded from the American League before the '85 season.
He was a career .178 hitter.
