Schumaker (MLB: 2005-2015) Retires
Skip Schumaker,36, who earned two World Series championship rings with the St. Louis Cardinals retired during Spring Training with the San Diego Padres after a nice 11 year career in the major leagues
(2005-2015). He was a contributor to the 2006 and 2011 St. Louis Cardinals World's Championship teams.
Schumaker was an outfielder/second baseman. He hit over .300 twice as an everyday player, in 2008, primarily as an outfielder, and in 2009, when played mostly as a second baseman.
He spent the first eight years of his career (2005-2012) with the Cardinals.
