Frank Dupee 1901
Dupee's major league debut occurred on August 24, 1901, when he was the starting pitcher for the Chicago White Stockings in Baltimore. He walked the first three batters in the game and then was pulled by Manager Clark Griffith in favor of Jimmy Callahan. All three runners scored, and Dupee was sent back to the minor leagues without getting another chance with the White Stockings. In the spring of 1902 (when this picture was published), he trained with the New York Giants, but sustained an arm injury and did not make the team. He pitched in the minors for another thirteen years, but his major league Earned Run Average remained at infinity.
