Harry Saferight 1979 (Sort of)
Twelve years in the minors (eight in AAA) and catcher Harry Saferight never got a day in the majors.
Well, that's not entirely true. He was recalled by the Pirates in 1979 (I believe I posted an image of him taking batting practice at Shea from September of that year) but never appeared in a game.
He had made a Phillies' camp earlier in the '70s, and after his tantalizing weeks as a member of the Bill Sharman Society, went to camp with the Braves in 1980. Topps, of course, got him in all three unis.
