K-Rod: 400 Saves
May 24: Francisco "K-Rod/Frankie" Rodriguez became just the sixth pitcher in MLB history to earn his 400th Save. He saved a game for Justin Verlander in Detroit's 3-1 victory over the Phillies.
Others in the 400 Saves Club are Mariano Rivera, Trevor Hoffman, Lee Smith, John Franco (leader in Saves among Lethanded pitchers) , and
Billy Wagner.
