Here's a clearer shot of Ed Musial in a baseball uniform. This is from the Harrisburg Telegraph of March 24, 1948.
Ed was in the Boston Braves' spring camp in 1946. He was listed as an outfielder that year. By 1948, when he was playing for Harrisburg, he had been converted to a first baseman.
