Roy Evans 1897
Evans compiled a won-lost record of 29-43 pitching for six major league teams in five seasons, 1897-99 and 1902-03. He is depicted here in a Brooklyn uniform in April, 1903. Evans developed a reputation for accepting multiple signing bonuses from different teams at the same time and for failing to pay back loans from neighbors in the many towns he lived in during his career.
