Sam Woodruff 1904
Orville Francis Woodruff played 87 games in 1904 for the Cincinnati Reds, mostly at third base for the injured Harry Steinfeldt. He only batted .190, poor even in the deadball era, so he was then back in the minor leagues (with Louisville in the American Association) until 1910, when he played another 21 games for the Reds, and batted .148 to finish his major league career. He continued in the minors through 1915.
