Yup, that is an Unknown feature. Works with Unknown pitchers too.

Kind of like MLB in the 1870's. When a team ran out of players due to injuries they would simply grab a likely culprit out of the stands. BTW the rule back then was that a player could re-enter a game with the other teams permission.
