1929
American cultural influence over the world continues to grow. More countries are beginning to appreciate the virtue of Baseball.
It was a year without many surprises, with the Houston Citadel, New York Admirals, Washington Elephants, and Los Angeles Steel all making the playoffs again. Masashige Suga won another MVP award, and Mike Trego won the Best Pitcher Award again. After the Elephants dispatched the Admirals in five games there was some grumbling around the league that the disparity between franchises was too great and changes need to be made. Philadelphia suggested that a second team be admitted in New York to allow them entry, creating an expansion draft and more opportunity. The League took it under consideration as the Elephants celebrated their victory.
