I was running into this behavior yesterday:

1. Started with a full valid lineup
2. Moved my #1 CF from the depth chart to #1 LF
3. Inserted a newly-promoted player into the starting CF spot

The result of this was to correctly slot my new LF in left in the lineup. However, when I vacated the CF position it assigned my 3B to CF in the lineup. Slotting my new CF in the depth chart did insert him into the lineup, but didn't update positions: he had no assignment (--).

Nothing major, but something I wasn't quite expecting.
