From time to time, I'll just do a cold google search for "Mets" or "Seattle Pilots" or whatever--not getting too far down the rabbit hole...just checking. Usually there's nothing new but, every once in a while...
I've seen a couple of B&W Bruce Fitzpatricks, and a few colorized ones, but hadn't seen an actual color image of this "original" Met (or
"Hey, you, almost a Met" if you prefer). This was on a
Mets Tumblr site. I don't do the Twitters or the Tumblrs because I'm an old dog not interested in learning new tricks. I'm a little bummed because they say they "sat down with" Bruce and he shared stories...but there aren't any stories. Maybe they're somewhere (YouTube or something), but its late and I'm tired. Anyway, cool pic. Hopefully, this'll be new to some of you, as it was to me. I give you original and, um, let's call it "extra crispy". The image was largely resistant to quickie fixes, but I did try (my blue sky is outright colorized). I could do better if I put some more time into it (I think).
