Online league file bug?

Hi, A friend of mine has set up an online league using OOTP17 and I am GM of one of the teams.

I am noticing a bug in that his league file is exported/archived differently from how some other online leagues that I've tested are, causing the file to be unusable.

Example, for an existing online league that I tried out, the league file is exported as:

"Example.tar.gz"

..unpacking that file gives you: "Example.tar"

..and unpacking that file give you all the folders and files you'd expect to see, namely Messages, Settings, Coaches.dat, World.dat etc..

For my friend's league file, it's as follows:

"Whatever.tar.gz"

...unpacking that file gives you:

"Whatever.tar"

...unpacking that file gives you, surprisingly, a single file called:

"Whatever"

with no extension at all, but which appears to itself be yet another .tar file, because it can be unpacked further to produce all the folders and files you'd expect: coaches.dat, names.dat etc.

So with most leagues, you get two levels of archiving followed by the league files and folders. For my friend's league, you get THREE levels of archives, followed then by the normal files.

My question is, what setting would be causing him to get that result when archiving/exporting the league file?

The result of this is that his league file can't be automatically unpacked from within OOTP17 using the "Download league file" feature, as this always reports the error "Unable to unpack files from archive". Instead I have to do the download, and then manually go in and triple-unpack, then copy the contents over to the Whatever.lg folder where they ultimately belong.

Any help would be appreciated, and if any additional info is needed just let me know.

Thanks!
