Competing Fremantle Ownership Groups Submit ABL Bids

Sources close to the Fremantle Dockers Chairman confirm that they have submitted a bid to the ABL to receive the expansion franchise. This team could share facilities and the name of the AFL club.

A second ownership group, led by former Perth front office executive and former ABL owner and manager David Nilsson have also submitted a bid. Rumored to be pushing new facilities and a baseball specific stada may push this bid to the front of the pile.
